- תַּקַּנְתָּאch. sam( תַּקָּנָה f. (תָּקַן) remedy), 1) remedy. Targ. Y. Num. 4:19.Meg.3a מאי תֵּקַּנְתֵּיהוכ׳ what is his remedy (what shall he do)? Let him read the Shmʿa. Snh.7a ולא הויא ת׳ לעולם and there would never be a remedy for them; אפשר … ת׳ בתשובה there might have been a remedy for them through repentance. Zeb.76a אית ליה ת׳ ברעייה there is a remedy for it by letting it go to pasture; a. e. 2) measure, ordinance, reform.
